Poppy and cherry tart

This tart with poppy seeds and cherries, tasty and very easy to make, has been planned for some time, but we kept postponing it, but today we satisfied our cravings.

It is made so quickly and easily that even the most clumsy person in the kitchen would be able to do it without any problem, all they have to do is follow the exact quantities and the way of preparation step by step.

Honestly, when I was a child I didn't like poppy seeds of any color, but now I can say that it has become one of my favorite ingredients. And in combination with cherries it is elevated to the degree of spectacle of the taste buds.

Tart ingredients:

  • 300 g white flour type 00
  • 220 g butter with at least 80% fat

Ingredients for poppy seed filling:

  • 1 l milk with 3.5% fat
  • 150 g caster sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 100 g of wheat semolina
  • 20 g food starch
  • 250 g mac
  • Grated peel of a lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 400 g fresh or frozen cherries
  • 1 whole egg

How to prepare the tart:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

We put the flour with the butter and the salt powder in a bowl and with the help of a food processor we knead by pulsation until we obtain a mixture similar to sand.

Add the caster sugar and add it.

Put 3/4 of the total amount of dough in a tray 26 cm in diameter and line the bottom and its edges with a height of 5 cm. Press well and let cool.

Preparation for poppy cream:

Drain the cherries for at least 30 minutes.

Put the lemon on a small grater.

In a bowl, mix the semolina with starch, egg and 150 ml of the total amount of milk.

Put the rest of the milk in a saucepan together with the sugar, salt powder, vanilla extract and boil it. When it reaches the boiling point, reduce the heat and pour the semolina composition with starch and egg into a thin line. Stir in one until boiling and thicken.

Add the ground poppy seeds, lemon peel, cinnamon

Add the cherries, mix lightly.

Pour the poppy composition in the pan, sprinkle the difference in dough and bake for 45-50 minutes.

After the baking time has passed, take it out on a grill and let it reach room temperature. Simple, tasty and cold, not very good-looking, but from here I can only wish you good luck and good appetite!


Everything you need to know about the Cherry Cake recipe

  • You can prepare it in the form of a cake, in a shape of 20-22 cm in diameter, to be tall and attractive.
  • You can also prepare it in the form of a cake, adapting the baking time.
  • You can also use other fruits instead of cherries, but it is important to pass them through the flour first, so that they do not leave on the bottom of the tray.
  • The cherry cake is ready when it passes the toothpick test.
  • You can vary the proportions used: I put cocoa in 2/3 of the dough, because we like the taste of chocolate more. But you can put even less cocoa, in only 1/3 of the composition, if you like the vanilla cake more.
  • If you omit the fruit, you can also use this recipe for a delicious cake top, which does not even need to be syruped.
  • You can replace the 250g butter and 250ml sunflower oil.

Ingredients Cherry cake (20cm shape)

  • 4 husband eggs
  • 200g sugar Castello

We use a skewer or a knife to marble the cake. Drain the cherries from the compote, put them in the flour and put them over the cake. Bake the cherry cake for 35-45 minutes or until it is nicely browned and passes the toothpick test.

Muffins with cherries or any fruit

It's fruit dessert season, so we take turns flavoring each of our sweets. For today I chose to prepare muffins with cherries.

Ingredients -24-30 pieces (depending on the diameter of the shapes)

  • 4 eggs
  • 400 g flour
  • 250 ml yogurt
  • 200 g butter
  • 300 g sugar
  • a sachet of baking powder
  • a sachet of vanilla sugar
  • a little salt
  • 500 g cherries & # 8211 you can also put blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, strawberries, apple cubes, etc.

Preparation Muffins with cherries

Mix the butter and salt and sugar together for 5 minutes.

Add eggs, one by one, mixing well after each one. Do not add the next one until you have incorporated the previous one. At the end you will have a smooth, creamy, fluffy composition.

  • 250 ml. of poultry soup (or milk)
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 30 grams of flour
  • sugar and salt to taste
  • 1 cinnamon powder (optional)

Preparation of cherry sauce

I used frozen cherries, if using compote cherries, it is recommended that some of the necessary liquid (poultry soup or water) be replaced with compote juice (about half).

Melt the butter in a saucepan:

The taste of salt and sugar fits, I put a spoonful of sugar but also a cinnamon powder, it seems to give it a very good taste.


June is popularly known as the month of Cherries, precisely because now is the time for cherries. The tastiest and most fragrant cherries ripen in June. So are the cherries. They make extraordinarily good jams. For the preparation of croissant dough, instead of lard, you can use butter.

Cherry and chocolate cake

I wanted to chocolate cake, yes, I already imagined that, at the lusts I had at that moment, it would seem too sweet.
I wanted to cherry cake, yes & # 8217 not pandispan with fruit but something finer, more delicate.

Ingredients Cherry and chocolate cake

5 eggs
5 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons flour

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix the yolks with water and oil.

Mix the egg whites with a pinch of salt, then gradually add the sugar. Mix until no more crystals are felt. Add the yolks, mix, put the sifted flour together with the cocoa and baking powder and mix lightly with a spoon, from the bottom up.

Grease a 24/24 cm tray with oil, sprinkle a little flour and pour the composition. Level.

Bake the top in the oven at 170 degrees, on step 2, until it passes the toothpick test.

Put the liquid cream in a saucepan and bring it to the boil. Turn off the heat and put the broken chocolate pieces. Stir until melted and the cream is homogeneous.

Cool and then refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Hydrate the gelatin in 50 ml of water.

Put the cherries in a bowl and sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of sugar over them. Stir, let the sugar melt then squeeze them well.

Take 2-3 of the quantity and pass it with the blender.

Put on the fire in a saucepan and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Turn off the heat, put the gelatin, mix well and let it cool well.

Remove the cream from the cold and mix it until it acquires a well-bound and fluffy consistency.

Cut the top into 2 equal slices.

Syrup the first slice of the top with the syrup left by the cherries (I added 50 ml of water in it and put it on the fire for 2-3 minutes, then I recited) spread evenly 2/3 of the cherry paste, then 1/2 of the cream. Put it spoon by spoon then spread it lightly, so as not to damage the layer of cherries. Level nicely and put the second slice on the counter, syrup.

Spread the remaining cherry paste and cream, then put the cherries on top and let the cake cool for 2-3 hours.

4 yolks
100g old
125ml rom
400ml liquid cream
1 Milka milk chocolate

1 jar of cherry compote (720 ml)

Method of preparation:
In a bowl, break 4 eggs, add the caster sugar, hot water and mix for 10 minutes, until you get a foam.




In another bowl, put the required amount of flour, add the sachet of baking powder, cocoa and mix well.


Add this mixture of flour, baking powder and cocoa to the egg foam mixed before and mix with a spatula until smooth.



Wallpaper a tray with baking paper and pour the top into it. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.


After it is baked, take the top out of the tray, put it on a grill and leave it to cool.

We put the chocolate on the small grater.

Drain the cherry compote in a strainer and keep the compote juice for the syrup on the top of the cake.
To prepare the cream, we start by dissolving a sachet of gelatin in a glass with 200 ml of water.

Put 4 yolks in a bowl, add the caster sugar, mix until incorporated, be careful not to rub too much but just enough to mix.


Put the bowl with the mixture of egg yolks with sugar on top of a pot of boiled water, add the rum, let it boil for a while until the sugar dissolves, then add the gelatin, leave it to cool and then put it in the fridge for 20 minutes, until it thickens.

In a bowl pour the liquid cream and mix it until it hardens.

Add over the hardened whipped cream chocolate previously grated and mix with a spatula until completely incorporated.


Over the chocolate cream, add the cream left in the fridge in the cold and mix everything with the mixer until it is completely incorporated.


After we have everything ready, we move on to assembling the cake.
We put the top on a plate, we syrup it with the juice from the compote & # 8211 more or less, according to our preferences, after which we start to spread the cream over the cake, in a high layer.


After we have spread and leveled the cream, we start to put the cherries over the cream, either in a certain order, or you can put them spread on the entire surface of the cake, after which we grate the chocolate on top of the cake.
